A tubular structure in black lacquered metal, stretched like a gibbet, holds at a distance a reflector of curved, perforated sheet metal lacquered white: when lit, the white sheet seems to float alone beneath the ceiling.
Botta designed the Zefiro for Artemide in 1988; an architect above all, he signed only a handful of lights and treated them as small constructions, a load-bearing frame and a carried element, nothing decorative in between.
The diffuser is in white lacquered perforated sheet metal, consistent with documented examples. Good condition.
