Joe Colombo

Joe Colombo (Milan, 1930 – 1971) first trained in painting and sculpture at the Brera Academy, then in architecture at the Politecnico. He took over the family business in 1959 and opened his design studio in 1962. He died at forty-one: nine years of production, and a body of work that still weighs on everything designed in moulded plastic.

He worked for Kartell, Oluce and Alessi, and received several Compassi d’Oro. Galerie 90 brings together two of his lamps here.
