Returns and withdrawal
Galerie 90 does not sell online. A piece is bought either at the gallery or following a written exchange with us. What you can do if you change your mind depends on which of these two situations applies to you.
You bought at a distance, by email or by message. You have fourteen (14) days from receipt of the piece to withdraw from the purchase, without having to give a reason. Write to us at contact@galerie90.fr: we will give you the return address and arrangements. Return costs are borne by you. The piece must come back in its original packaging or packaging offering equivalent protection, with its invoice, in exactly the condition in which it was delivered to you. This right is reserved for private individuals: it does not apply to purchases made for business purposes.
You bought at the gallery, in person. There is no right of withdrawal: the law provides for it only for sales concluded at a distance. This applies whether you took the piece with you or we delivered it to you afterwards. So take the time to examine it at the stand, ask your questions and request all the views you wish before making your decision.
Refund. It covers the full price paid, excluding return costs, and is made within fourteen (14) days of receipt of your decision. We may defer payment until the piece has been recovered or until proof of its dispatch has been provided, whichever is earlier. If the piece comes back depreciated by handling beyond what was necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, we reserve the right to deduct this depreciation from the refund.
No exchanges. Each piece is unique and sold as a single example, unless otherwise stated on its page. A return gives rise to a refund, never to an exchange or a replacement.
A piece damaged in transit. Check the condition of the piece and its packaging on delivery. Report any visible damage immediately by written reservations to the carrier, then by email to contact@galerie90.fr. Without these reservations, recourse becomes difficult.
A defect that was not disclosed. This is a different matter from a return: it falls under the legal guarantees, detailed in article 7 of our terms of sale. Write to us describing what you have found. Signs of use, patina and small scratches consistent with the age of a piece, mentioned or visible in its photographs, do not constitute a defect.
The full conditions are set out in our terms of sale, articles 6 and 7.
